After his third week on the maintenance table and two days back at school, Joe's weight had slipped slightly from 40.6 kg to 40.2 kg. At The Great Barn, the care team had noticed that Joe was helping himself to the minimum portions of food that he could get away with and was choosing fruit rather than pudding. Joe also had to be reminded to have a drink with his main meal. On a couple of occasions when Joe had accepted drinks of water between meals he had been seen either tipping them away or over his head to cool himself down.
