dramatically. The tendons are less elastic and more resistant to stress. The bones make small adjustments in response to pulling and pushing. However, with heavy loads, both bones and tendons can be stretched to some extent before breakage or rupture occurs. Muscle, on the contrary, becomes progressively stiffer as the load increases, before it ruptures. Clinical experience has demonstrated that at heavy loads, a muscle will rupture before a tendon ruptures or a bone breaks. A ruptured muscle often heals faster than a ruptured tendon or a broken bone; therefore, from this perspective, muscle injury is the least dangerous of these three types of injury.
